On November 13, 2024, Nordcad invites you to an exciting afternoon at Glostrup Park Hotel, where we will dive into the latest technologies and tools in RF design. The event is aimed at engineers and specialists working with advanced RF applications, with a focus on thermal analysis and modern antenna design.
Our speaker, Andrew Wallace, RF Specialist and Senior Account Technical Executive at Cadence, will present two in-depth sessions on the latest features in AWR. You will gain insights into how thermal analysis can improve your RF applications, and how antenna design and integration can be optimized through circuit and EM simulation.
With real-time demonstrations and practical examples, this event will equip you with the tools to take your RF designs to the next level.
We will delve into the thermal improvements and workflows that make it possible to optimize RF designs directly in AWR. During the presentation, you’ll get a combination of slides and a dynamic live demo in the software, where we go through real-time operations. This gives you a hands-on insight into how these thermal solutions can be integrated directly into your design processes.
In the antenna and phased array presentation, we will explore software developments that enable the design of a 4×4 phased array patch antenna and its associated driver circuit. Key elements such as beam direction and multi-beam generation will be covered.
In addition, we will demonstrate how to simulate degradations in ideal radiation patterns caused by PCB components on the backside, which can impact the antenna’s performance. From budgeting to final design, we will guide you through the key simulation areas and address the conflicting requirements you may encounter in such design processes.
With Cadence Clarity, the analysis can also be extended to Y x Z antenna patches, which are not necessarily square or in a fixed pattern, allowing for even greater flexibility in your designs.
